About Unity Studios
Where education and creativity unite
Unity Studios brings education support, music, art and community programs together in Penrith. We work with people of all ages and abilities to develop their skills, confidence and independence through purposeful mentoring and opportunities to learn alongside others.
Meet Cass Jensen, founder and educator
I’m Cassandra Jensen, founder of Unity Studios. My background brings together music, education and inclusive education, and shapes how we approach learning across the studio.
Something families often tell us is that their child has started to give up on themselves as a learner. They may be looking for tutoring, but our first conversation also explores their confidence, interests, relationships and what is getting in the way of learning.
We start by getting to know the person. We establish goals together, build on their strengths and develop strategies they can practise over time. Depending on those goals, sessions can bring together literacy, numeracy, planning, organisation, wellbeing and creative interests.
Small groups create opportunities to practise skills alongside others, develop connections and take increasing ownership of learning. Individual sessions are also available where appropriate.
For me, the relationships we build are central to this work. We want people to feel understood, recognise what they can do and become more confident in taking their next step.
